| Even as a child, photographs intrigued
me. They have the ability to freeze time, to fill you with memories... to make you smile, laugh, or even cry. There are so many defining moments in our lives. Our parents fondly remember our first smiles and waves, our first day of school, and before they know it, we are graduating from highschool. We celebrate life on our wedding day and witness the miracle of life when our own children are born. We watch them grow and the cycle continues... My goal is to capture these moments in time, these celebrations of life, as beautifully and creatively as possible. I try to balance a candid, photojournalistic approach with artistic poses infused with my subjects' unique personality and style. |
| Who
I am
I'm a friendly, down-to-earth, regular person. I am a wife and mother of three. I hold no degrees in photography or fine art, yet I have a passion and talent for both. As a teenager at my very first job, I saved my part-time paychecks to make my first ever BIG purchase: a $600 camera. Even (way) back then I dreamed of being a professional photographer but it is only recently that my hobby became a profession. With the help and support of my husband, Chad, (who is also my wonderful assistant) I decided to start Balance Photography. If we have the pleasure to work together you will find me flexible, dependable, and most important: incredibly enthusiastic about your photographs. I am also very affordable, as you will see if you visit my Price Guide page. |
